The interior is a very important factor when deciding to buy
a car. Car upholstery not only provides drivers and passengers
the necessary comfort to enjoy a ride, but it also reflects the
value of the car. A car’s worth is measured by how well
the previous owner took car of it, and an interior that’s
damaged or stained will significantly lower the value.
There are three basic types of car upholstery: leather, cloth
and vinyl. Automobile dealers like to use leather interiors as
selling points because leather is associated with good taste.
Since it takes more time to produce quality leather than cloth
coverings, it raises the price of a vehicle substantially. People
who don’t want to pay higher prices or don’t want
to use animal products opt for vinyl instead.
Cloth interiors are the most versatile car upholstery, but it’s
also the most susceptible to damage. Because fibers are woven
together, they can easily break apart and absorb staining liquids.
It’s not recommended for passengers in cars with cloth interiors
to eat or drink in the vehicle.
