Cleaning upholstery

There is nothing more satisfying that purchasing a new piece of furniture. Whether it’s a brand new sofa or a vintage chair, furniture can make or break the interior design of a room–and that’s why it’s essential to take good care of them. Cleaning upholstery will not only improve the aesthetic appearance of a room, but it will ensure long-lasting furniture.

Methods of cleaning upholstery include:
• Rubbing vinyl with soft cloth and special vinyl cleaner
• Vacuuming cloth furniture regularly
• Applying specialty cleaner to leather using a cotton terrycloth
• Inspecting for cracks or flaws to prevent further damage

Cleaning upholstery in your car’s interior will also ensure the value of the vehicle. Damaged or stained seat covers will significantly decrease the value of the car, so it’s important to inspect regularly. Most commercial cleaners will take care of minor blemishes, but for major damage it might be necessary to take the vehicle in to an upholstery specialist who can either repair or replace your car’s interior.
