The basis for home décor often relies on the material
and fabric used in each room. There are many varieties of upholstery
material used to stuff and cover furniture, each with its own
set of characteristics. From hip vintage chairs to fluffy couches,
people use different materials to satisfy either comfort or aesthetic
needs
Some types of upholstery material include:
• Leather and suede
• Cloth or textiles–Basically any material with fibers
woven together. These can encompass any fibers from animals (wool,
cashmere, silk), plants (hemp or cotton) and synthetics (polyester,
nylon and acrylic)
Taking care of upholstery material is a relatively-easy but important
task which will sustain the quality of your furniture. Most of
the time, cloth fabrics only require vacuuming and dusting, but
leather and suede demand special cleaning solutions that don’t
cause further damage.
